These are medium-sized copy books or main lesson books (approximately 8.3 X 9.8 inches) with high quality pages and leather embossed heavy cardstock covers. They contain three types of pages, arranged in such a way as to be used for compositions with drawings or maps accompanying each one. The ruled (lined) pages can be used for text and the blank pages for drawings in a variety of mediums, such as colored pencils or pastels. The onion-skin pages can be used either for separating the drawings from the text and thereby avoiding smudging of the drawings onto the text, or used as tracing paper for maps or other images to be reproduced exactly.
